My definition of “mindless” is simply freeing up my mind a tad bit by thinking less of work and responsibilities and filling it with beach and relaxation or “beachlaxin'” is what I call it.
We all tend to get caught up in life. Busy times can cause a frazzled mind, loss of sleep, not eating right, if at all, and many other issues with our health. For me, when I need a “mindless” day, I take it at the beach. I enjoy going with friends, having a few drinks, and taking my mini Bose to play some tunes; but friends or no friends, drinks or no drinks, music or no music, I’ll go by myself. I just plop down in the sand and listen to the ocean. In the spring, early summer, I love to feel the breeze, smell the salty wind, and watch the herons and many other birds share the seashore with us beach-goers.
If you get to a point where you just need a mindless day, I hope you have a special place where you can just set your mind free for a while, and to let yourself recoup from the stress and prepare for what’s ahead
